Das Seminar führt problemorientiert in die Operationsweise und Folgen der Finanzwirtschaft ein. Ausgehend von soziologischen Betrachtungen geht es sowohl um spezifische Triebkräfte einer Globalisierung der Finanzwirtschaft (z.B. Deregulierung, Finanzinnovationen, Regulierung) als auch um Organisationen (z.B. (Krypto-)Börsen, Banken, Rating-Agenturen, Aufsichtsbehörden), deren Leistungen zu einer dynamischen Ausweitung von finanzwirtschaftlichen und gesellschaftlichen Risikolagen beitragen.

Das Seminar unterstützt Sie dabei, grundlegende Kenntnisse über den Aufbau, die Funktionsweise und die Risikoprobleme der Finanzwirtschaft zu erwerben. Anhand von Fallstudien können Sie die Leistungsfähigkeit von Theorien einschätzen und konkrete empirische Fragestellungen bearbeiten (z.B. Was sind die Folgen politischer Deregulierung? Womit machen global agierende Banken ihre Geschäfte? Wie tragen Rating-Agenturen zur Globalisierung bei? Wie funktioniert Regulierung in einem globalen Kontext?).

Der Veranstaltungsplan und eine Liste mit veranstaltungsrelevanten Texten bzw. Textauszügen stehen Ihnen Ende März im Lernraum zur Verfügung.
