261037 Philosophische Grundlagen des Tötungsverbots (S) (WiSe 2014/2015)

Dass wir andere Menschen nicht töten dürfen ist einer der festesten Bestandteile unseres moralischen Weltbilds. Viel weniger klar ist aber, wie dieses Verbot zu rechtfertigen ist. In dem Seminar werden Texte aus der Philosophiegeschichte und moderne Texte besprochen, die versuchen, eine solche Rechtfertigung zu geben.
Im Sommersemester 2015 soll ein Anschlusseminar folgen, in dem das Tötungsverbot in verschiedenen Anwendungskontexten und hinsichtlich möglicher Ausnahmen (im Krieg, Todesstrafe, Sterbehilfe …) thematisiert wird.
