270242 Intelligenz und Arbeitsgedächtnis (S) (WiSe 2014/2015)

In dem Seminar sollen neurobiologische Theorien zur Intelligenz betrachtet werden. Dabei wird die fluide Intelligenz nach Cattell (1987) vertieft und in Zusammenhang mit dem Arbeitsgedächtnis gebracht. Das Arbeitsgedächtnis (working memory) wird von Baddeley (1990) wie Folgt definiert: „A system for temporarily holding and manipulating information as part of a wide range of essential cognitive task such as learning, reasoning and comprehending“ (Baddeley, 1990, S. 67). Das Arbeitsgedächtnismodell von Baddeley (1986), welches eines der prominentesten Modelle darstellt, wird herangezogen.

Im weiteren Schritt sollen im Seminar Studien, die den Zusammenhang zwischen der Intelligenz bzw. der fluiden Intelligenz und dem Arbeitsgedächtnis untersucht haben, kritisch diskutiert werden.

Das Seminar richtet sich an Studierende des vierten (oder höheren) Semesters des BSc-Studiengangs Psychologie.
