The aim of this course will be to analyse Shakespeare's mature tragedies both in the context of their Elizabethan/Jacobean emergence and their 20th critical and filmic reception.

Three credit points will be awarded for attendance (1), an oral presentation (1) and a written essay on the topic of the presentation.
