Philosophers often talk about "concepts". We say, for example, that 'All cats are animals' is 'analytically true' because the concept ANIMAL is part of the concept CAT. But what is a concept and how can one concept include another? Looking at work from philosophy, psychology, and cognitive science, we'll investigate the nature of concepts. What are concepts? How are concepts related to each other? How do concepts influence the ways we think and speak?
