In dieser Lehrveranstaltung werfen wir einen soziologischen Blick auf den Konnex von Gouvernementalität, Gender Bias und Public Health.
Nach einem allgemeinen Auftakt zu Körperpolitik und Geschlecht werden wir im gemeinsamen Kurs vor allem Themen aus den Spektren Gesundheitsvorsorge, Schwangerschaft und Geburt, Reproduktionstechnologien und Bioökonomie fokussieren.
Konzepte zu Selbsttechnologien werden hierbei hilfreich, wenn es um die Diskussion von Schieflagen und Geschlechterhierarchien innerhalb von Körper- und Gesundheitspolitiken geht, gerade wenn ein Paradigmenwechsel rund um Gesundheitsförderung im öffentlichen Verständnis seit den 1980er Jahren im Rahmen neoliberaler Managementpolitiken diskutiert werden kann.
Der Spannungsbogen zwischen dem rahmengebenden Seminarthema und den thematischen Vertiefungen wird zur gemeinsamen Reflexion und Kritik anregen.
Bereitschaft zu umfangreicher gemeinsamer Lektüre wird vorausgesetzt.

Vorkenntnisse in den Bereichen Frauenbewegung / Frauengesundheit, Biopolitik u. Selbsttechnologien sind wünschenswert.
