The Winter School "Children's Well-Being around the World" examines the multifaceted nature of children's well-being on a global scale. This program is particularly relevant in today's interconnected world, where understanding the diverse factors that influence children's lives is crucial for fostering global development and equity. The seminar aims to explore the various dimensions of children's well-being, including physical health, mental health, education, and social and economic conditions. The course delves into the conditions affecting children in diverse regions, from affluent societies to low-income and conflict-affected areas. This comparative approach allows to appreciate the disparities and commonalities in children's experiences globally. The course covers topics such as access to healthcare, nutritional status, educational opportunities, and the impact of social policies on children's lives. Through a blend of guest lectures, workshops, case studies, and interactive sessions, the course aims to equip participants with an understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by children in different parts of the world.
