In diesem Seminar beschäftigen wir uns mit Differenz als grundlegender Bedingung von Pädagogik und Erziehungswissenschaft. Wir erarbeiten zuerst ein Verständnis von Differenz, dass Voraussetzung und Effekt von Erziehung und Bildung ist. Dazu setzen wir uns mit historischen wie aktuellen Erziehungs- und Bildungstheorien auseinander und diskutieren diese alteritätstheoretisch und im Kontext generationaler Ordnung.
Der zweite Block hebt stärker auf Differenzverhältnisse im Kontext verschiedener Dimensionen sozialer Ungleichheit (v.a. race, class und gender) ab. Diese lernen wir als Element und Kontext pädagogischen Handelns kennen und Fragen im Seminar nach Möglichkeiten des Handelns unter diesen Bedingungen.
