In Anlehnung an Lena Dominelli (2019) fasst Barbara Schramkowski (2022, S. 29) „Green(ing) Social Work“ als offene Programmatik einer politischen, transformativen Sozialen Arbeit. Diese „versteht sich auch als professionspolitische Positionierung und Aufforderung an die Disziplin, ökozentrische Perspektiven in Theorie und Praxis der Sozialen Arbeit weiterzudenken“(ebd.). Im Verlauf des Seminars werden wir versuchen zu klären, was "grüne Soziale Arbeit" ist, was problematisch und neuartig an der Mensch-Umwelt-Beziehung im Kontext "grüner" Sozialer Arbeit sein könnte und welche Aufgabe Sozialer Arbeit insbesondere aus professionstheoretischer Perspektive dabei zukommt bzw. zukommen sollte. Dazu werden wir uns mit ausgewählten Ideen bzw. konkreten Projekten von „Green Social Work“ beschäftigen, die bereits die Mensch-Umwelt-Beziehung zum Gegenstand haben und uns auf die Suche nach zukunftsfähigen Professionstheorien und "nachhaltigen" Ansätzen für sozialpädagogisches Handeln machen.
