Der Chor ist der Übe-Chor der Teilnehmenden der Kurse Ensembleleitung I & II. Die Studierenden aus EL II sind leiterisch und sängerisch tätig, die Studierenden aus EL I sängerisch. Zusätzlich gibt es noch Input-Phasen, in denen die Kursleitung den Chor leitet.
Die Kurse der Ensembleleitung sind praktische Kurse. Dadurch ist eine regelmäßige Teilnahme für alle Beteiligten notwendig und wünschenswert.
