„Jede menschliche Gemeinschaft braucht Feste als besondere Zeichen, die den Alltag und den Jahreslauf rhytmisieren.“ (Michael Tilly)
Die jüdischen Feste und Bräuche sind sowohl den Ursprungsanlass als auch den Glaubensinhalt betreffend mit der biblischen Tradition verbunden und spiegeln die hohe Bedeutung wider, die bestimmten Schriften aus der Geschichte Israels durch die feiernde Gemeinschaft zuerkannt wird.
In diesem Seminar werden verschiedene Feste (z.B. Passah, Jom Kippur) und Bräuche (z.B. Brit Mila, Bar Mizwa) hinsichtlich ihres alttestamentlichen Ursprungs und ihrer heutigen Gestalt im Judentum vorgestellt und anschließend didaktisch appliziert.
