220105 Auf den Spuren jüdischer Textilunternehmen in Bielefeld (S) (WiSe 2023/2024)

Die Stadt Bielefeld verdankte ihren Ruf als Zentrum der Wäscheindustrie vielen Textilgeschäften und -fabriken. Im Seminar werden die Spuren einstiger jüdischer Unternehmer aufgenommen und in Archiven vertiefend recherchiert. Die Ergebnisse werden in bereits bestehende Internetseiten zur jüdischen Geschichte und zur Textilgeschichte einfließen.
Das Seminar findet in den Räumen des Museums Wäschefabrik statt. Die Fabrik wurde bis 1938 von einem jüdischen Wäschefabrikanten geleitet. Gemeinsame Besuche in Archiven sind vorgesehen.
