392278 Projekt "Simulator und Anwendungen für ein eingebettetes Multiprozessor-System" (Pj) (WiSe 2013/2014)

In modernen mobilen Systemen (Tablets, Smartphones, …) werden zunehmend mehr CPUs auf einem einzelnen Chip integriert. In der AG K&S wird zurzeit ein solches eingebettetes Multiprozessorsystem entwickelt. Um eine effiziente Softwareentwicklung zu ermöglichen, ist ein leistungsfähiger Simulator erforderlich. In diesem Projekt soll ein bestehender Simulator um ein Modell zur Kommunikation der CPUs über ein Network on Chip (NoC) erweitert werden. Der Simulator ist in der C++ Bibliothek SystemC implementiert. Um die Leistungsfähigkeit des Simulators bewerten zu können, sollen verschiedene Benchmarks auf dem Multiprozessorsystem abgebildet werden. Um die Geschwindigkeit des Simulators zu erhöhen ist es im Rahmen des Projektes optional möglich, den Simulator auf einem Rechencluster parallel auszuführen.
