250444 Looking around the table: A comparative perspective on education in different countries (BS) (SoSe 2023)

Contents, comment

This course supports students’ learning about the similarities and differences of national education systems around the world, including European countries and the USA. This will include understanding the historical and contemporary influences on education and its policies. Characteristics and challenges of school systems from early childhood through high school will be considered. The course will also focus on how countries approach inclusive education and challenges facing national education systems. Offline learning opportunities will include access to readings, resources, video, and discussion forums.
Please note that Federico Waitoller's stay at Bielefeld University is mainly financed by the International Guest Lecturer Program and also in parts by the Faculty of Educational Science.
