Die tiefgreifenden Veränderungen im Zuge der ökonomischen, politischen und kulturellen Globalisierung erfordern eine Neukonzeptionierung von „Kindheit“. Bestimmte Formen von Kindheit haben sich globalisiert: Kinderarbeit, Kinderarmut und Gewalt an Kindern sind längst globale Phänomene geworden. Sind Kindheiten noch vielfältiger geworden? Oder löschen Globalisierungsprozesse Kindheit gar gänzlich aus? In diesem Seminar wird anhand von sozialkonstruktivistischen und migrationspädagogischen Ansätzen Kindheit in globaler Perspektive analysiert. Unter Bezugnahme postkolonialer Theorieansätze wird eine Neukonzipierung von Kindheit und Kindheiten vorgenommen.
