Frühkindliche Familienberatung gilt als ein präventiver Beitrag in der Pädagogischen Beratung. Bereits früh kann die Chance ergriffen werden, Eltern in ihren Erziehungskompetenzen zu stärken und für Kinder einen Entwicklungsraum, orientiert an ihren individuellen Bedürfnissen und Entwicklungsaufgaben, herzustellen. In einem ersten Schritt geht es um ein Verstehen von Familien in aktuellen Zeit- und Gesellschaftsstrukturen. Was sind Themen und Herausforderungen, was sind ‚normale‘ entwicklungsbedingte Krisen und wo lässt sich durch frühe, pädagogische Unterstützung die individuellen Herausforderungen besser meistern. Auf dieser Grundlage erfolgt dann eine theoretische und konzeptionelle Annäherung an die Pädagogische Beratung mit dem spezifischen Fokus auf Erziehungs- und Familienberatung.
