250049 Globales Lernen im Postkolonialen Kontext (BS) (WiSe 2013/2014)

In der Debatte um das Globale Lernen wird die Frage der Entwicklungsgerechtigkeit oft im Zusammenhang mit Bildung und Bildungschancen betrachtet. Ein Mangel an Bildung im Süden wird dabei nicht selten als Grund für Unterentwicklung genannt. Im Norden stößt man dagegen öfter auf die Vorstellung, dass mangelnde Sensibilität ein Hindernis für eine gerechte Entwicklung darstellt. Im Blockseminar werden wir uns auf der Grundlage Stuart Halls Essays »der Westen und der Rest« mit der Frage auseinandersetzen, ob diese Hypothesen als Begründung für die Notwendigkeit globaler Entwicklung sinnvoll sind und welchen Beitrag Bildung zur Entwicklungsgerechtigkeit leisten kann.
