Der Grundkurs Altes Testament richtet sich an Studierende ohne Vorkenntnisse und will erste Basisinformationen im Bereich Altes Testament vermitteln.
Nach einer grundlegenden Einführung in das Land der Bibel und einem orientierenden Überblick über die Geschichte Israels in alttestamentlicher Zeit (I) wird in einem zweiten Teil des Grundkurses ein Schwerpunkt auf der bibelkundlichen und literaturgeschichtlichen Einführung in exemplarisch ausgewählte Schriften des Alten Testaments liegen (II). Neben der Beschäftigung mit dem Aufbau und der Entstehungsgeschichte des alttestamentlichen Kanons gehört hierhin auch eine Seminarphase im Angeleiteten Selbststudium, in der es vor allem um eine gründliche bibelkundliche Erschließung der Bücher Genesis (1. Mose) und Exodus (2. Mose) geht. Der Grundkurs wird sodann in das weite Themenfeld der alttestamentlichen Prophetie einführen und anhand eines exemplarisch ausgewählten Prophetenbuches vertiefen; ebenso wird das Buch der Psalmen Gegenstand unserer Beschäftigung sein. Am Ende des Grundkurses werden wir abschließend der hermeneutischen Frage nachgehen, was es eigentlich heißt, wenn wir als Christen vom "Alten Testament" sprechen (III).
