Gogolin und Neumann (1997) sprechen vom „monolingualen Habitus“ der Schule. Der damit einhergehende „Zwang zur Einsprachigkeit“ im Deutschen ist, nach Wagner, ebenfalls in Kindertageseinrichtungen vorherrschend. „Erkennbar ist der monolinguale Habitus daran, dass mehrsprachige Kinder in den Kindertageseinrichtungen kein Thema sind, sofern sie über gute Deutschkenntnisse verfügen“ (Wagner: 2010).
Wir werden im Seminar die kindliche Zwei- und Mehrsprachigkeit von verschiedenen Seiten kritisch beleuchten. Mögliche Aspekte sind:
Wie verläuft die mehrsprachige Sprachentwicklung? Über welche sprachlichen Kompetenzen verfügen zwei- und mehrsprachige Kinder, die in die Kita kommen? Wie kann Mehrsprachigkeit in Bildungsinstitutionen (z.B. Kita) begegnet werden?
