Die Kontroverse über die Stellung von Religion im öffentlichen Raum nimmt in philosophischen, politikwissenschaftlichen und soziologischen Diskursen ebenso wie in breiteren öffentlichen Debatten unserer pluralistischen Gesellschaften seit geraumer Zeit eine zentrale Stellung ein, ohne dass sich bis heute eine Klärung oder auch nur Vermittlung der unterschiedlichen Konfliktpositionen abzeichnet. Das als Lektürekurs angelegte Seminar dient der Auseinandersetzung mit verschiedenen theoretischen Reflexionen dieser Kontroverse.
