"Das Liegen war für Ilja Iljitsch keine Notwendigkeit wie für einen Kranken oder wie für jemanden, der schlafen möchte, es war auch keine Zufälligkeit, wie für einen, der erschöpft ist, und kein Genuss wie für einen Faulpelz: es war sein Normalzustand."
Mit Oblomow schafft Iwan Gontscharow 1859 den Typus eines handlungsunfähigen Menschen, der als "Oblomowerei" sprichwörtlich wurde und auch in der Psychatrie seinen Niederschlag fand. Wir wollen uns ein genaues Bild dieses "Zustands" erarbeiten und an Konzepten wie Passivität, Prokrastination, Apathie oder Depression messen.
Neben den evidenten sozialkritischen Aspekten werden uns die Verfahrensweisen satirischen Schreibens interessieren. Darüber hinaus werden wir immer wieder den intermedialen Vergleich ziehen und eine Film- sowie eine Hörspiel-Adaption in den Blick nehmen.

"ich lese so wenig" sagt Oblomow. Das werden die Seminarteilnehmer*innen nicht behaupten müssen, pro Woche werden im Schnitt 60 Seiten Lektüre anstehen (was angesichts der vergnüglichen Lektüre aber hoffentlich nicht schwerfallen wird)
