231099 Quantitative Methoden der Linguistik 2 (S) (WiSe 2013/2014)

Aufbauend auf die Veranstaltung „Quantitative Methoden der Linguistik 1" werden in der Veranstaltung „Quantitative Methoden der Linguistik 2“ weitergehende Techniken der Datenerhebung und -analyse im Rahmen empirisch-linguistischer Arbeit behandelt. Anhand von ausgewählten Fallbeispielen und Übungsaufgaben lernen die Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer, anspruchsvolle linguistische Experimente selbstständig zu planen, durchzuführen und auszuwerten und einschlägige Veröffentlichungen kritisch zu evaluieren.

Die Veranstaltung umfasst Themenschwerpunkte wie

  • Variation und Kontrolle als experimentelle Grundprinzipien;
  • Zusammenhänge zwischen theoretischen und empirischen Sachverhalten;
  • Typen und Status experimentell relevanter Variablen;
  • ein- und mehrfaktorielle Untersuchungsdesigns;
  • wichtige experimentell-kognitionswissenschaftliche Paradigmen (Priming u.ä.)
  • Möglichkeiten der statistischen Analyse von Messwertreihen;
  • Prinzipien und Probleminferenzstatistischer Datenanalyse
  • einfache Signifikanztest-Verfahren;
  • varianzanalytische Verfahren (ANOVA, ANCOVA und MANOVA)
  • Analysen im Rahmen des Allgemeinen Linearen Modells
  • spezielle statistische Verfahren
  • computergestütztes Experimentieren

Dieses Seminar richtet dich an Linguistik-Studierende, die für ihre Studienschwerpunkte speziellere methodische Kenntnisse und Fertigkeiten benötigen.
