Im Jahr 2017 feiert die Evangelische Kirche das 500. Reformationsjubiläum. In diesem Zusammenhang stellt sich die Frage, welchen zentralen Ereignissen und Personen im Rahmen des Jubiläums gedacht werden soll. Die Veranstaltung beschäftigt sich ausgehend von Überlegungen zu den Vorbereitungen des Jubiläums mit politischen und kulturellen Bezugsfeldern, geht auf die Suche nach Persönlichkeiten der reformatorischen Bewegung, wie Martin Luther oder Katharina Zell, und richtet auch einen Blick auf die theologiegeschichtlichen Entwicklungen dieser Epoche.
