In dem Seminar sollen grundlegende statistische Methoden den studierenden näher gebracht werden. Wenngleich von den statistischen Inhalten sich der Kurs mit der Vorlesung "Quantitative Methoden" teilweise überschneidet, soll der Fokus hier insbesondere auf die praktische Anwendung und Interpretation von statistischen Verfahren auf geschichtswissenschaftliche und sozialwissenschaftliche Fragestellungen gelegt werden.
Das Seminar wird in englischer Sprache gehalten. Es ist jedoch möglich auf Deutsch Fragen zu stellen.

Requirements for participation, required level

Grundlegende mathematische Vorkenntnisse (Summen, Produkte, u.U. Potenzen) sind wünschenswert, jedoch kein zwingende Grundvoraussetzung.
