250290 Youth Conflict, Violence and Penal Culture (S) (SoSe 2013)

Contents, comment

This block seminar will discuss the sociological and cultural penetration of the youth conflict, violence and mechanism and how the youth is socialized to adopt. The violent youth in Asia, Africa, Latin America and some parts of Europe share the common cultural traits: recognition, respect, honor, self-defense, and symbolic culture. Meanwhile, this seminar will discuss the space of socio-cultural integration of the conflicting and violent youth.
Beside this, the seminar will also discuss the prevailing penal cultures across societies. How the violent youth is treated in the existing normative and legal structure in different countries?
