Im Seminar beginnt mit einem Überblick zum Psalter und den einzelnen inhaltlichen wie formalen Kriterien zur Bestimmung von Psalmengruppen. Die TeilnehmerInnen können dann wählen, welche der Gruppen sie im einzelnen näher bearbeiten möchten. Im folgenden soll dann der altorientalische kulturelle Hintergrund der biblischen Poesie näher beleuchtet werden. Vor allem mesopotamische und ägyptische Überlieferungen (die alle in Übersetzung vorliegen) werden im Mittelpunkt der zweiten Hälfte des Seminares stehen.

Voraussetzungen: Bereitschaft zur Übernahme eines Einzelreferates und Mitgestaltung einer Sitzung bzw. aktive Teilnahme an Gruppenreferaten (abhängig von der Zahl der Teilnehmenden) Mitgestaltung der betreffenden Sitzung.

Literatur wird in der ersten Sitzung bekannt gegeben. Wichtige Literatur wird von uns eingescannt und als Datei bereitgestellt.
Zur Vorbereitung empfohlen: Lektüre des Psalters. Als deutsche Übersetzung wird die Zürcher Bibel (Zürich 2007) empfohlen.
