239736 Migration in Context (S) (SoSe 2013)

Contents, comment

Migration has been a constant issue in human history. The voluntary or forced movement of people from one country or region in the world to another has been an important factor in shaping history, language, and art.
This lecture series will approach the phenomenon of migration from a variety of different angles. Researchers from the British and American Studies department will provide lectures on aspects of literary and cultural studies, linguistics, and didactics. These lectures will introduce students to the basic topics in those fields of study, and also present case studies that explore the concepts in further detail.
