Vor 200 Jahren wurde Georg Büchner geboren. So schmal sein literarisches Werk ist, auf das sich das Seminar konzentrieren will: es ist doch von überragender literarischer Bedeutung und gehört unbedingt zum Kanon der deutschen Literatur. Endlich setzt sich auch in unserem Bundesland die Erkenntnis durch, dass es ohne die Kenntnis kanonischer Autoren und Werke einfach nicht geht. Das Seminar richtet sich deshalb ausdrücklich auch an die Lehramtsstudenten, denen diese Einsicht nicht fremd ist. Eingehend und möglichst textnah werden die vier im engeren Sinne literarischen Texte Büchners: die Dramen ‚Danton’s Tod‘, ‚Woyzeck‘, ‚Leonce und Lena‘ und die Erzählung ‚Lenz‘.

Teilnahmebedingung ist die Mitarbeit in einer der Arbeitsgruppen und im Seminar.

Die Texte stehen alle in Reclam-Ausgaben zur Verfügung; besonders empfohlen wird: Georg Büchner, Sämtliche Werke und Briefe. Herausgegeben von Ariane Martin, Stuttgart: Reclam, 2012 (mit vorzüglichem, umfangreichen Kommentar).
