Im Rahmen der Konzeption des Forschungsprojektes im Masterstudiengang stellt sich für viele Studierende die Frage, welche Daten für die Bearbeitung einer sinnvollen Forschungsfrage erhoben werden müssen. Die Datenerhebung selbst ist dann oftmals eine große Herausforderung im Rahmen des Forschungsprojektes. Eine Alternative zur eigenen Datenerhebung stellt die Nutzung vorhandener und frei verfügbarer Daten (Open Data, public use files, Social Media Data) dar. So können bspw. kommunale Daten aus Bielefeld, Datensätze repräsentativer, deutschlandweiter Umfragen, Twitter-Tweets oder YouTube Kommentare für je eigene Fragestellungen ausgewertet werden. Im Seminar werden die verschiedenen Datenquellen vorgestellt und Auswertungsszenarien diskutiert. Dabei kommt das OpenSource-Programm RStudio (in der Cloud-Version) zum Einsatz, das auch für die spätere Analyse im Rahmen des Forschungsprojektes von den Studierenden eingesetzt werden kann.

Master of Arts: Voraussetzung ist die Einschreibung im Master of Arts Erziehungswissenschaft im WiSe22_23.
