Häufig ist uns gar nicht bewusst, dass Mathematik in unserem Alltag eine wichtige Rolle spielt. In dieser Veranstaltung wird der Bezug zur Umwelt der Schülerinnen und Schüler deshalb gezielt in den Blick genommen. Anhand ausgewählter Unterrichtsbeispiele werden nicht nur mögliche Anknüpfungspunkte zur Lebenswelt von Grundschulkindern gesucht, sondern insbesondere Möglichkeiten der unterrichtlichen Umsetzung lebensnaher Themen angesprochen. Ein Schwerpunkt liegt dabei auch auf fächerübergreifendem und projektorientiertem Arbeiten. Von den Teilnehmenden wird erwartet, sich an Exkursionen zu beteiligen, Unterrichtsvorschläge vorzustellen und die Einsatzmöglichkeiten für den Unterricht kritisch zu reflektieren. Außerdem soll der Einsatz ausgewählter Materialien selbst erprobt werden, um verschiedene Schülerbearbeitungen im Seminar gemeinsam analysieren zu können.
