Still living with restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this topic claims high interests from several diverse disciplines.
This seminar talks about bioinformatics and data science applied to pandemics. Prevention, modelling and predicting of pandemics are some of the purposes for this kind of research. Students will get an overview of bioinformatic and data science methods and capabilities for the dynamics of pandemics in general, but with a boosted public interest evoked by the COVID-19 pandemic. They will embed their knowledge in a presentation on an article of their choice combined with a report.
