Short description:
Motivation: Event-based signaling and processing promise increased energy efficiency (human brain as paragon).
Goal: Exploring and designing spiking neural network models for increasing the efficiency of the Human Activity Recognition task. Used Methods are:
• Use the DAVIS346 Human Action Recognition Dataset to train the SNN.
• Explore and design SNN models.
• Set up a demonstrator using a DVS camera.
Required skills:
• Python,
• Deep Learning,
• Computer Vision
In case this would not find enough interest for a team project, this project proposal would be also offered (in reduced/modified form)
• an individual project
• a project for only 2 students

Student information |
The binding module descriptions contain further information, including specifications on the "types of assignments" students need to complete. In cases where a module description mentions more than one kind of assignment, the respective member of the teaching staff will decide which task(s) they assign the students.
