Short Description:
PIMBase is a data warehouse and web-based information system for potentially inappropriate medication (PIM) in the elderly. For a new version, decision trees will be used to find matching PIM entries for user inputs. These decision trees are currently constructed by hand which takes time and may not always be optimal. This project therefore has two main goals.
1. Create a shorthand logic syntax that can be input into a textfield, parsed and the nodes of the tree are automatically generated and need only to be filled afterwards.
2. Develop an algorithm, that takes a finished decision tree and optimizes the hierarchy in order for decisions to be made faster. The tool is developed using TypeScript (JavaScript)
