Dieser Kurs bietet eine Einführung in Experiment-Design und Statistik. Es werden verschiedene Designs und dazugehörige inferenzstatistische Auswertungsverfahren besprochen. Dazu gehören beispielsweise der t-Test, der chi-square Test, und multivariate Varianzanalyse (ANOVA).

Am Ende des Kurses sollten TeilnehmerInnen:
- einen Überblick über mögliche Auswertungsverfahren in Abhängigkeit von Design und Datentyp gewonnen haben
- die Vorraussetzungen der besprochenen Auswertungsverfahren nennen und erklären können
- in der Lage sein in Abhängigkeit von Datentyp und Design passende Auswertungsverfahren auszuwählen
- wichtige Auswertungsverfahren erläutern können
- in der Lage sein für Beispiel-Datensätze grundlegende Teststatistiken selbst zu bestimmen
