250361 Social work, managerialism and discretion (BS) (SoSe 2012)

Contents, comment

In this seminar we focus on the relation between managerialism and the discussion on discretion of social workers. We discuss curtailment and continuation perspectives on discretion (does discretion decrease or does it shift form?). Special attention goes to the debate on politics of resistance, developed by social workers in the light of managerialism.
