Im Rahmen der Vertiefung werden benotete Einzelleistungen und unbenotete Einzelleistungen angefertigt. Die EL(b) wird in Form einer Hausarbeit erworben und eine EL(u) kann ebenfalls als Hausarbeit oder in Form einer 6-8seitigen Referatsausarbeitung erbracht werden. Inhaltlich werden sich die Fragestellungen und Gegenstände der EL aus den besuchten Seminaren ergeben und darüber hinaus werden in den gemeinsamen Treffen auch kurze inhaltliche Aspekte in Bezug auf Differenz und Pädagogik behandelt. Die Vertiefung soll die Begleitung des selbstgesteuerten Lernens leisten. Insofern wird im ersten Treffen zunächst das weitere Vorgehen in der Vertiefung abgestimmt. Weiter wird in regelmäßig stattfindenden Treffen die Themenfindung, Gliederung und Literatur begleitet und abgesprochen. Dabei können auch grundlegende Fragen wissenschaftlichen Arbeitens geklärt werden.
