In dieser Veranstaltung werden Wortstrukturen (Morphologie) und Strukturen auf der Ebene von Phrasen (Konstituenten, Sätze) behandelt. Morphologie hat die Bildung von Wortformen (Flexion) und die Bildung von Wörtern (Derivation, Komposition) zum Gegenstand. Die Syntax behandelt die Bildung von verschiedenen Typen von Konstituenten (Nominalphrasen, Präpositionalphrasen, Verbalphrasen, Sätze u.a.) sowie die syntaktischen Operationen, die bei der Bildung von Sätzen angewendet werden.
Dieses Seminar bietet eine Einführung zur Behandlung von morphologischen und syntaktischen Problemen im Rahmen der aktuellen Grammatikmodelle sowie einen Überblick über die morphologische und syntaktische Variation in den Sprachen der Welt.
