Der Körper fungiert im Alltag als stiller Begleiter, der sich, durch seine beständige Gegenwart und seine Konstanz, unserer Aufmerksamkeit entzieht. Dies ändert sich grundlegend bei Vorliegen einer psychischen oder körperlichen Erkrankung, bei der sich der Körper in den Aufmerksamkeitsfokus drängt. Das Seminar führt zunächst in unterschiedliche sozialtheoretische, phänomenologische und klinische Verstehenszugänge zum Körper ein und veranschaulicht anschließend den Zusammenhang von Biografie und Körper unter Rekurs auf wissenssoziologische und biografietheoretische Zusammenhänge im Kontext von Fallanalysen.
