Wer in Deutschland leben möchte, sollte sowohl Deutsch lernen als auch Wissen über die Geschichte, die Kultur und die Rechtsordnung Deutschlands besitzen; Integrationskurse bieten dazu die Möglichkeit. Seit Einführung des neuen Zuwanderungsgesetzes und somit auch der Integrationskurse im Jahre 2005 stellen eben diese Kurse in Deutschland eine Erfolgsgeschichte dar.

Doch was genau sind Integrationskurse? Wie ist das Integrationskurssystem aufgebaut und was erwartet die Lehrkräfte im Klassenzimmer?

Nach einer kurzen theoretischen Einführung in das Integrationskurssystem sollen verschiedene Kurstypen näher betrachtet werden. Dazu werden jeweils zunächst die Konzepte bzw. Curricula der Kurse diskutiert und danach Unterrichtseinheiten gemeinsam erarbeitet. Nach Möglichkeit werden Kursteilnehmer eines Sprachinstituts eingeladen, so dass die zuvor erstellten Unterrichtsentwürfe ausprobiert werden können.
