Wir analysieren literaturgeschichtliche Darstellungen des Jahrhunderts der Aufklärung. Sie stammen aus dem 19. Jahrhundert, aus der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus, aus der Nachkriegszeit sowie aus den letzten Jahrzehnten. Ausgehend von theoretischen Ansätzen (Benjamin, Fuhrmann, Alt, Latour) vergleichen wir die historiographischen Zugriffe anhand ausgewählter Ereignisse, Personen, stilistischer Richtungen, ideengeschichtlicher sowie sozialgeschichtlicher Konstellationen.
