In dem Seminar werden verschiedene Erklärungsansätze für Schülergewalt, Bullying bis hin zu Rampage shootings vorgestellt und diskutiert. Außerdem werden verschiedene Präventions-/Interventionsansätze für Schülergewalt vorgestellt und diskutiert.
Das Seminar richtet sich nicht ausschließlich an angehende Lehrerinnen und Lehrer. Das Seminar soll die Teilnehmerinnen und Teilnehmer befähigen, die Hintergründe von Schülergewalt, Bullying und Rampage shootings zu verstehen und für die Notwendigkeit und Möglichkeiten der Prävention und Intervention zu sensibilisieren.
Die ernsthafte Auseinandersetzung mit dieser Thematik geht mit intensiver Lektüre einher. Die Texte müssen in der Regel zur Vorbereitung auf die Seminarsitzungen anhand von Arbeitsblättern bearbeitet werden.

Einzelleistungen
Einzelleistungen können wie folgt erbracht werden:
- Klausur: Die Klausur findet gegen Ende der Vorlesungszeit statt, der genaue Termin wird bekannt gegeben.
- Schriftliche Hausarbeiten: Das Thema einer schriftlichen Hausarbeit sollte in Zusammenhang stehen mit dem Thema des Seminars stehen. Es ist allerdings nicht erforderlich, dass die Hausarbeit sich auf die Seminarliteratur bezieht. Die Hausarbeit ist eine Gelegenheit, ein Thema des Seminars zu vertiefen oder ein Thema aufzugreifen, das nicht Gegenstand des Seminars ist.
- Mündliche Prüfungen: Unbenotete Einzelleistungen können auch in Form einer mündlichen Prüfung abgelegt werden.
Studienleistungen
- Die erste Voraussetzung für die Bescheinigung einer Studienleistung ist die regelmäßige Teilnahme. Wer mehr als zwei Termine unentschuldigt versäumt, erfüllt das Kriterium der regelmäßigen Teilnahme nicht.
- Die zweite Voraussetzung für die Bescheinigung einer Studienleistung ist die aktive Beteiligung an Diskussionen in Kleingruppen und im Plenum. Voraussetzung dafür ist ggf. die Lektüre der Seminarliteratur. Hilfreich für die Bearbeitung der Seminarliteratur sind die Arbeitsblätter.
- Die dritte Voraussetzung ist die schriftliche Bearbeitung von mindestens drei Arbeitsblättern. Die bearbeiteten Arbeitsblätter werden gegen Ende des Semesters eingesammelt, ein Termin wird bekannt gegeben.
