Das Seminar setzt sich mit dem Phänomen Trash TV auseinander und erörtert die Frage, warum diese Fernsehformate einen so großen Zuspruch erfahren. Hierzu zählen Sendeformate wie z.B. Doku-Soaps, Dokutainment, Scripted Reality etc.
Die Formate und ihre Hintergründe sollen zunächst in Theorie und Praxis vorgestellt werden. Anschließend sollen kritische Positionen herausgearbeitet und hinterfragt werden.
Auf unserer Vorschlagsliste stehen beispielsweise Sendungen wie:

Mitten im Leben;
Die Auswanderer;
X-Diaries;
Big Brother;
DsDS;
Hilfe, ich bin ein Star
GnTM

Diese Liste ist nur als vorläufig zu verstehen, sie wird in der ersten Sitzung mit den TeilnehmerInnen besprochen und ergänzt, bzw. gekürzt werden.
