Dem Gesellschaftsspiel wird im pädagogischen Diskurs als analoges Medium wenig Aufmerksamkeit geschenkt. Dabei hat in den letzten Jahrzehnten ein Wandel innerhalb des Mediums stattgefunden. Neue Mechanismen und Themen in Brett-, Würfel- und Kartenspielen zeigen sich für die stetig zunehmende Popularität über alle Altersstufen hinweg und überall auf der Welt verantwortlich. Wie aber lässt sich das Medium pädagogisch einordnen? Wie hängen Spielen und Lernen zusammen? Und wie können Gesellschaftsspiele in pädagogischen Kontexten sinnvoll eingesetzt werden?
