Das Seminar findet z.T. digital, live zur genannten Zeit & z.T. digital, im Selbststudium (online synchron/asynchron) statt.
Das Seminar beleuchtet die Relevanz sozialwissenschaftlicher Theorien für die pädagogische Beratungspraxis im Kontext von Gesundheit und Krankheit. Nach einem Einblick in die relevanten historischen Entwicklungslinien von pädagogischer Arbeit im Kontext von Gesundheit und Krankheit und in die Aufgabenfelder und spezifischen aktuellen Herausforderungen werden im Besonderen die Sozialtheoretiker in den Blick genommen, die sich vorrangig mit dem Zusammenhang von Körper und Sozialität befasst haben wie G. H. Mead, Erving Goffman, Pierre Bourdieu und Michel Foucault. Zudem wird auch auf die Bedeutung leibphänomenologischer Ansätze in diesem Zusammenhang eingegangen und die Relevanz für die pädagogische Beratungspraxis erörtert und diskutiert.
