Das Seminar behandelt entwicklungspsychologische Aspekte von Kooperation mit einem Fokus auf Moralpsychologie. Wir betrachten beispielsweise empirische Studien mit Kindern aus den Bereichen Hilfeverhalten, Vertrauen, Reziprozität, unmoralisches Verhalten („Schummeln“ und Lügen), Bestrafungsverhalten, und moralisches Urteilen. Vergleiche werden teilweise gezogen mit erwachsenen Stichproben einerseits und nichtmenschlichen Primaten andererseits Inwiefern unterscheiden sich beispielsweise die moralischen Urteile von Kindern von jenen Erwachsener? Was macht das menschliche Sozialverhalten besonders?

Das Seminar wird hauptsächlich in digitalen "Präsenzsitzungen" (via Zoom, Doppelstunden - daher endet das Seminar nach der Hälfte des Semesters) im Plenum mit der gesamten Seminargruppe stattfinden.

Letztere werden durch Lektüre oder durch unterstützenden Einsatz von Medien vorbereitet. Die Teilnahme am vorbereitenden Programm ist jeweils Bestandteil der aktiven Teilnahme am Seminar. Jede gemeinsame Einheit verlangt auf dieser Basis eine aktive und themenfokussierte Teilnahme an Diskussionen. Teil dieser Sitzungen sind englischsprachige Literatur und Medienbeiträge (wie Vorträge) - eine ausreichende Kenntnis der englischen Sprache wird daher vorausgesetzt.

Eine aktive Teilnahme umfasst darüber hinaus die Gestaltung mehrerer kurzer Beiträge in Gruppen- oder Einzelarbeit zur Darstellung theoretischer und/oder empirischer Beiträge und die Bearbeitung von Übungen.
