Die Vorlesung und die Übung "Integration Politik/Wirtschaft" beschäftigen sich aus interdisziplinärer Perspektive (Wirtschaftssoziologie und Politikwissenschaft) mit aktuellen Fragestellungen, die an der Schnittstelle zwischen Wirtschaft und Politik angesiedelt sind. Die beiden Veranstaltungen sind eng miteinander verbunden und bauen aufeinander auf. Durch die Kombination der Veranstaltungen und die Beteiligung von Lehrenden aus unterschiedlichen Disziplinen sollen die Kompetenzen zur Integration von distinkten Perspektiven eingeübt werden. Ziel ist es, dass die Studierenden anhand der Auseinandersetzung im Modul, ein interdisziplinäres und lösungsorientiertes Verständnis sozialwissenschaftlicher Probleme entwickeln.
