Die Seminarsitzungen werden ab dem 4. November per Videokonferenz (Zoom) stattfinden. Genauere Hinweise und Einladung folgen per Rundmail.

Mehr noch als der "Leviathan" hat die von Hobbes zuvor auf Latein verfasste Schrift "De Cive" (dt. "Vom Bürger") einen immensen Einfluss auf das Geistesleben seiner Zeit ausgeübt. Hobbes entwickelt hier seine vieldiskutierte politische Theorie konziser und direkter als im "Leviathan". Im Seminar soll dieser Text gründlich studiert und diskutiert werden.

Im Rahmen dieser Veranstaltung können maximal 15 Hausarbeiten geschrieben werden.
