Das Seminar wird als begleitetes Selbststudium durchgeführt. Im LernraumPlus stehen Texte und dazugehörige Lernfragen für Sie zur Verfügung. Insgesamt finden drei optionale Zoom-Sitzungen zum Austausch und zur Vertiefung der Lerninhalte statt.

Betrachtet werden die historischen Entwicklungslinien der organisationsinternen Beratung, die darunter zusammengefassten multiplen Beratungsformate, deren Institutionalisierung und sich daraus ergebenden Limitationen und Möglichkeiten. Hierbei ist z.B. insbesondere die „Alkohol-am-Arbeitsplatz-Bewegung“ als Ursprung der Suchtberatung im Betrieb und der betrieblichen Sozialberatung relevant. Beratungsansätze werden kritisch reflektiert u.a. im Hinblick auf Abhängigkeiten, Hierarchien, Machtdynamiken und gesellschaftliche Normen.
