230525 Prosody modelling for speech research and applications (S) (WiSe 2020/2021)

Contents, comment

This course is dedicated to the study of prosody, using computational modelling approaches. During the semester, we will see how prosody contributes to a number of spoken language topics (e.g. language acquisition, speech recognition, paralinguistics) and how it may be modelled in computational studies or integrated in speech applications. At the beginning of each class, an overview of the investigated topic will be given, followed by either a discussion of relevant articles or a hands-on session. The latter may include the running of small modelling experiments or analyses of speech tools and applications.
