Das Seminar wird den Nationalsozialismus aus einer organisationssoziologischen Perspektive betrachten. Wir gehen davon aus, dass in dieser Phase eine Verselbständigung der Ebene der Organisationen im Sinne einer tödlichen Radikalisierung eine wesentliche Rolle für die Dynamik des Regimes gespielt hat. Das betrifft zum einen die multiplen Unterorganisationen der Partei selbst, namentlich SA und SS, aber auch die "aktivistischen" Infiltrationen etablierter Organisationen der Exekutive durch "NS-agencies" wie des SD und der Gestapo oder die "aktivistischen" Kurzschlüsse von Judikative und Exekutive. Kann man den NS als ein Kompetenzgerangel konkurrierender Organisationen der Exekutive, die sich in der Praxis gegenseitig zu übertreffen suchten, als ein Wesensmerkmal des NS identifizieren?

Die Prüfungsleistung in dieser Veranstaltung besteht in der Regel aus der Verfertigung einer Hausarbeit, nebe der Erbringung einer Studienleistung zum Nach weis der aktiven Teilnahme, die im (wahrscheinlichen) Fall eines Online-Seminars aus einer Reihe kleinerer schriftlicher Ausarbeitungen bestehen kann.
Mündliche Prüfungen - in den entsprechenden Studiengängen - können ohne weiteres arrangiert und durchgeführt werden.
